Notice of Public Comment Period
Draft FY 2025-28 Transportation Improvement Program
The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (TCRPC), as the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Peoria-Pekin urbanized area, is holding a public comment period on the draft Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-28 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The document provides a multi-year listing of federally funded and regionally significant transportation projects in the Peoria-Pekin urbanized area scheduled for construction between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2028.
The 30-day public comment period begins on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, and ends on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Written public comments may be submitted through the end of the comment period using one of the following methods: Email – input@tricountyrpc.org; or Mail or Delivery – Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, Attn: Draft FY 2025-28 TIP, 456 Fulton St., Suite 401, Peoria, IL 61602.
The public comment period provides an opportunity for the community to review the proposed use of federal transportation grant funds over the next four years. TCRPC will hold a public meeting at the June MPO Technical Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at 456 Fulton St., Room 402, Peoria, IL 61602, unless otherwise posted.
All comments received during the public comment period are recorded and provided to the Full Commission for their review and consideration. The Full Commission will review all comments, solicit additional feedback, and consider adoption of the FY 2025-28 Transportation Improvement Program at their regular scheduled Wednesday, August 7, 2024, meeting. Agenda and meeting materials are available 48 hours in advance on TCRPC’s website at https://tricountyrpc.org/meeting-materials/.
