The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (TCRPC) has a position open for a Planner. TCRPC is a proactive regional planning agency that serves Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties in Central Illinois. TCRPC also serves as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Peoria-Pekin Urbanized Area.
Position responsibilities include leading or supporting integrated transportation, land use, and environmental planning. We are seeking a planner for a wide variety of planning tasks, which may include: comprehensive planning, pavement management, travel demand modeling, and watershed planning. This position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university with a major in urban planning or a related field. Candidates must be detail-oriented and organized, skilled in verbal and written communication, and able to work in a team setting on multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of and experience with GIS is preferred. Basic project management skills, including budgeting, are recommended.
