TCRPC's first demonstration site is located at:
Prairie and Woodland Restoration Services has just completed thinning the majority of the invasive species (mostly young Maple trees). A local group of Seabees (Navy Reserves) have volunteered to finish the rest of the labor the demonstration site will require. TCRPC is also currently pricing signage for the site.
Pictures
The site looks devoid of so much right now, because a.) most of the Maples have been cut, and b.) there are no leaves on the trees. It will be interesting to see how the site looks in mid-summer.
Thinned Maples.
Lots of small Maples laying on the ground here. The volunteers will be stacking these in the ravine.
More Maples on the ground.
Prarie Restoration Services already stacked a bunch in the ravine, as you can see in this picture.
Our second demonstration site is located at the Ulrich Wildlife Preserve:
Right now it is too wet for me to get out there to take pictures, so I will update when I can!
